I have a very precious NSV I want to share. But, I have to tell a story. In January I was driving my oldest son to school when I told him I was going to try very hard to lose weight and get fit. I said I would need the help of the whole family to stick to my plan. Suddenly, I had a thought! He pretty often picks up his older sisters, as younger brothers like to do when they are no longer the "little" brother. I asked him, "If I lose enough weight, would you take a picture with me of you picking me up?" Pleased with the plan, he immediately agreed! Over the months of me fighting to get rid of the extra pounds, he has been such a terrific encouragement. Today my lad is the weight I was when I started this journey... over 190. He is 6'2" and 16 years old. Granted, he is in incredible shape with lots of muscles from his very physical job! But hey, without the 40 pounds I've now lost, he can easily lift me!

You guys are just so amazingly kind and encouraging! I am so grateful that a friend recommended FS when she learned I was trying to lose weight. I thought I would only log calories and record my weight. I had no idea the incredible support and help I would receive. I'd like to say a individual thank you to each of you... I am just sort of overwhelmed by by all of this. Thank you!!!

To145... and to all of you who rejoiced with me for this special moment, I will say, I wanted to nearly cry when I saw the photos. How can my tiny baby boy be nearly all grown and someone who cares enough to help fulfill a little dream for his mom? I feel absolutely blessed to have him and the rest of my gang!

You guys are so sweet! Red fox, yes I think kids do worry about patents' health and happiness more than we know. Yesterday my 21 year old daughter was driving in down our road and saw her dad and I jogging home from a walk/jog. She had to happily yell out the car window something about the skinny people she didn't recognize. 😊 There are many motivators to being healthy... two huge ones for me is to set an example for or my kids and to be as fit as possible to enjoy my family

Melissatwa wow! How long did it take you to lose 40lbs? And may I ask how you did it! That’s a great job. I love the picture of you and your son. I’m on a journey of my own and you give me hope. Thanks so much for posting, I’m still learning my way around this site, although I’ve been a member for years. Now let me see if I can figure how to post this.
