It started to rain and get really windy as soon as it got light this morning. Wind is just blowing all the leaves all over the place. I put out food for the little birds - sparrows, gold finches, and I forget the names of some of them. I always wonder why the winds aren't blowing birds all over the place. It's cold out (cold for where I live), shows about 42-44 on the porch thermometer. I turned the heater on as soon as I got up and took a picture of my cat Marco. As soon as he hears the furnace go on he perches himself right on the heating vent.

Keyten, Peaches, Maine Coon, Marco stayed there for about a half hour straight! The cats also hog any heated throw or blanket! They love the warmth.

He did stretch out to get his tummy and chest warm as well! He's a smart cat. He can open every door in the house, even the door to the garage. Every morning I go to the kitchen and see all the lower cabinet doors open. I had to change to door knobs that he can't turn on a couple doors to rooms and closets I want him out of!
