Up this week, but I worked out so hard. I'm very SORE, and I'm guessing there is some water weight. Otherwise I feel good!

While I don't know anything about the science of "weight lifting shoes," with or without Christmas decor, there is a lot of technology that goes into high quality running shoes.

Aww! Thanks, lads! RgaDawg, I don't have great shoes, but I have the ones I like. I've tried many types, but a pair of particular Adidas running shoes I got years ago are the style I rebuy from Amazon again and again because they do fit my feet. I also taught myself to run totally differently so that I never hit on my heel. I run lightly toward the front of my foot, and since i started this I have not had any injuries... Some shin splints if I don't work my musless properly or stretch.

I am really interested in what both of you said about counterbalancing the muscles. I need to read about this more. I am lifting... Planning five days this week, but I want to mKe sure I am doing the most proactive work to help with running, especially since I know I will do more as the weather gets better. And Chris, how is the planning going for a get together??? I'm not hearing anything!! 😁

Just my opinion, Melissa - lifting 5 days a week may be counter-productive. I find it better to alternate cardio and lifting, and to do two weekly split workouts. Put more intensity and concentration into the lifting, rather than excessive repetition that stresses the joints. (I'm 63)

gz9gjg, I worked out 5 days this week, but lifted only 4. I'm very tired and ready for a day off! I did alternated what I was doing each day. 😁
