I apologize for my delayed comment. I saw your 2 miles in 20 yesterday and got sidetracked at work. That's awesome!! Nice job. I'm impressed. I'm shooting for one mile continous tonight. I did. It a while back but my body seemed to slow down as I adjusted to more frequent trips. Especially with the hills you have. I'm in flat hallways so far. May take to the street someday.

Yes, slnzzz! I think it is the general trend that is important to watch! busjwanie! Thanks! Yeah, I was pretty thrilled to get 2 in about 20 last night even though I slowed after that. My goal is 3 in 30. That is really slow for some, but for this middle aged girl, I'd be happy... especially if I can do it in my neighborhood. You are doing so well, and with your determination and current fitness level you will quickly surpass my speed! 😁

I doubt that. 42 years old with 2-6" screws in the right knee and that's my good knee. Lol.

Oh gosh! I don't think I could run at all with damaged knees. Ride a bike!!!

I ran around the block this morning without stopping. 😆 Took me 5 minutes and 2 seconds. It's a start. 😂 my lungs were burning. Maybe tomorrow will be 4 minutes 58 seconds. 😜🏃‍♀️

That is great, Princess! I've wanted to ask about your progress. I think it is just the challenge of change that matters. The bits of measurable progress is fun to see and is what motivates! I was gasping like a fish out of water this time last year when I started to jog!

I'm willing to bet your around the block looks much better than mine. I sound like when mama would woop us with a flip flop growing up my feet land so hard right now. Ugh.

Hahaha, busjwanie! What a vision! I'm gonna jump on my soap box now! I totally trained myself to run "lightly" and I think it has been keeping me from injuries. Do you remember running barefoot as a kid... Maybe away from the flop flop? I began using barefoot shoes so I wouldn't run landing on my heels. I no longer do use them. I have softer and a more supportive shoes now, but I still run landing on the front of my foot. So many different ideas of how to run, but this has been wonderfulnfor me!

As I get older I learn to not just muscle through things. My friend at work who runs suggested researching the pose method. Just haven't had time yet. I start out good but like the 200 lb dog we had once we're into it we drag our paws.my form goes to crap after half a mile right now. I love my Asics they help. But I need to do it right. Can't continue if I'm hurting.

For sure be careful! No sense hurting yourself... Just not worth it! 😁
