Thank you, everyone!!! This has been a work in progress for the past year. I felt thankful enough when I was just able to do the split sets, but ya know there's always that part of me that wanted to hit it and be strong enough not to split the sets. The universe was definitely helping me out last night. That vest felt like 2 lbs instead of 20 and something inside just knew it was going to happen. I struggled on the very last rep, but held steady and said to myself "oh, no we're not backing down on the last rep...we're getting this done tonight." And, this body came through! @Hebrews - thank you buddy and I'm genuinely glad anything I've shared has been helpful in your own journey. It's been wonderful watching your progress as well :-) And, yes indeed a 20 lb vest is no joke. Can you believe back in 2017 I started with 14 push ups against the wall?! I'll be high off this PR for a while, LOL! Now, to work up to the 45 lb bar for bench presses and begin looking at squat racks.
