Dama, shrimp & grits is a Creole dish, but we Cajuns adapt it to our own cooking style. Of course it is also popular is other parts of the south. juju, I did add cheese and butter, not quite as generously as in the past, but enough to make it very rich and delicious.

People here in Virginia eat grits, but I've never heard of it being eaten with shrimp. When I come visit you, if you make it, I'll try it, LOL!

Debbie I also live in VA- there are tons of places that make shrimp & grits. Look on brunch & dinner menus. But Shirfleurs offer to make it or take you to NOLA is even better!
