Shrewdness, you have a hawk friend!? Cool! I wish my camera was a bit better, because the falcon was so close (although on the other side or glass) and the photo should have been clearer. Oh well! It was fun to see. Gib_Jig, Thanks! 😁 ❤️

Sorry to disappoint M 🥲 Eagles for me 🦅🦅🦅 

Somewhere I have footage of two bald eagles fighting over a fish that I took somewhere up in Alberta. It was amazing to watch. Sadly, probably a not great clip because of the phone, but what an amazing thing to watch. They are huge.  

@ Katsolo, In Alaska the Bald Eagles 🦅 are so abundant they become a menace, hard to believe. I would love to see your clip! Even when bird watching pelicans can seem so huge. Hey, where’s your stomp?😄

Melissa, I think you would like it. A woman trains a hawk as she is grieving the loss of her father. But really it's about pulling yourself out of the spiral..,, The same author has a new book, Shrewdmess, that I will probably read later this year. I have about 20 book in my tbr pile- why not add one more? 💗 

Katsolo, I'd love to see the clip even if it is hard to see! I spent so many years living on a lake in Northern Idaho. In the winter the coots were great eagle food. I could watch from my window as the eagles would swoop over the flock of hundreds of ducks, which would then be frantically piling on top of one another in their urgency to not be the one on the outskirts that became lunch. Watching wildlife is amazing and a bit grim at times... but it is survival. Shrewdness, in our area eagles are seen a lot but they aren't troubling except for the occasional pet that gets hauled away. I see them pretty much every time I am on a walk by either the nearby lake or rivers. Huge is right! Gib-Jib, I used to be a voracious reader, and the last few years I have struggled to find books I want to use my time to enjoy. I will check out your recommendations! 

Wow!!!! That’s what I call bird watching. It must have been so exciting to witness. Can you tell me what goes into having a falcon feed her because we have a lot of Falcons where I live I just never knew they always fed on the smaller birds like you described above
