CrystalJo74, Yes! I am fanatical with my portion control. Even my sons know to look at the serving size. When eating out, portions seem a bit ridiculous to me.

gwzfire -- portions ARE out of control at a lot of restaurants. A few years ago, I ordered a dinner salad at a brew pub. They brought it to me on a plate as big as my mother's serving platter she used when I was a kid...the one that held enough fried chicken for 8 people. I just started laughing 😅

writingwyo, seems like it we do life a disservice when we take more than we need. You know what I mean? When you imagine an entire nation of people (I know it's not all of us but to make my point) that could be overeating, not only do we become unhealthy, but we make our growing fields less viable from over use. More farmers committ suicide than veterans (NYT article I should dig up b4 citing, I know). Something is not working well...
