I don't know if you've heard about this or not, but playing familiar music can sometimes help them focus better although that's probably more challenging on the phone.

We don't see the incredibly high rate. For people that reach 85, the rate of Alheimer's is at 48-50%. I myself am concerned about memory loss and have heard sugar is the biggest offender. For that reason plus losing weight I have given up sweets and wine 5 months ago and bread at home 3 months ago plus doing Intermittent Fasting. I'm hoping that if I am one of the 50% I can slow it down to retain my independence. You have lost your friend for all intents and purposes, and I'm very sorry.

sane thing happening to my grandmother and father right now. it hasn't gotten too bad yet but there's nothing worse and more saddening than to see your loved ones fade away.... I'm so sorry you about your friend.
