If you were closer. I have so many I feed them back to the chickens. Try searching your woods

We don’t have any woods like you do and apparently no chicken type creature to lay the eggs. We have mountain lions and rattle snakes, the rare bear and lots of cars. Hehehe. If you were closer I would gladly take them. Thanks for the thought.

Lol ahhhh Kenna, I haven’t seen rattlesnake in my neck of the woods in awhile. They’re good, skin em, fry em, salt n pepper 😏

I have eaten snake of several varieties. Had rattlesnake in a restaurant once. They all taste like chicken if they are cooked.

I think they taste like a cross between chicken and fish. And I think my chickens eat all the baby rattlers. I use to get them a lot the first 2 yrs of having chickens. Now they’re not to be found

Lol no dork, believe it not it’s their baby food. I have lots of extras. I boil them and give it back to them. It’s high quality protein for their diet. Especially in the winter where bugs are few.

They eat baby snakes, geckos, tadpoles, those small sticky frogs that I use to have so many before the chickens arrived..... gone. Bugs, worms, veggies are their last option just like me. They prefer fruits now I feel like I’m talking about myself 😂

Supergainz1— go to Amazon and you will find all sorts of things like cricket flour and dried, roasted “bugs” of all kinds. In SE Asia for instance, deep fried scorpion is equal to potato chips and the kids que up in line to buy packets of them. They are good— nice and crispy. Crickets, ants and other “bugs” have an amazing amount of protein. I learned that if something is cooked I can eat anything. Raw things I am more selective if given a choice.

Kenna I searched it a couple years back. And it was something like in the ratio of 1g protein per dollar for them bugs! Unless there’s new products. But I did do some good research on them and they’re the best kind of protein you can eat.

When people are finally excited they have bugs. Termites, look out. You’re next.
