Century ride completed. And, since I had 115 miles down. I decided to hop back on the bike for another 10 to make it an official ultra distance cycle. Average watts 260-263. Taper did its job. Now for 4-5 days of rest and then training begins for 70.3 half Ironman. Took me 6 months of training, and 5 and a half hours not counting breaks to fuel 🥰

Thank you 🙏 so much for the support and encouragement. Needless to say I’m hamburger meat right now and currently in bed with a heat pack on my face (swollen sinuses)🥴. Today is definitely strict bed rest. Ultra distance takes its toll, but it’s worth it to know I could go the distance. Sometimes pain can be it’s own bliss…wow 128 miles. I told my friends I’m still in a bit of shock myself, but the pain in my quads is proof enough 🥰 thank you all so much again. I’ll write a bit more when I’m Al little less feeble minded ❤️
