I just noticed that the MACROS percentages on the app on my phone are incorrect. The Totals compared to Goals do not match the totals of the itemized foods at the bottom of the page for today's meals. Has anyone else noticed this (it only took me four years to become aware of this. Hahaha)

Yes, I have noticed this for quite some time. When I do my monthly rollout of stats, it never works out. The macro totals never match the calories. I used to attribute this to alcohol, but I looked into it, and it wasn't true (the red wine I drink shows the carb macros). It would be great for FS to do some crosswalking of their calorie totals. Might need some AI for a job that big.

Doesn't seem difficult to me, just tie the summary at the top to the numbers at the bottom. In looking at the itemized numbers, they appear to be accurate.

I was referring to the percentages of Carbs, Fats and Protein, not calories. I hadn't even looked at that. Wow, that's a bit concerning.

Don’t take this app too seriously— it is very flawed. it has a high degree of inaccuracy. Look at it as a rough guideline only.

I noticed and have been using a different app for that. But no clue how long it’s Ben going on.

Been, not Ben.

Yeah, I caught that early on.

I also have gotten recent requests to check that the data is correct when I’m entering my food, guess I should pay more attention. 🙄

I never looked at the bottom totals! Now I wish they were accurate! 🤔

Moko, the bottom totals appear to be more accurate than the summaries at the top of the page.

It's also important to double check calorie counts for products. I've found several instances where the calorie count provided by the manufacturer is higher than the calorie count in the FS database.

Right sheltiemom. Many of them are off, I always check other sources, such as the USDA.

I think mine are the same. I added up each meal and it matched the top and bottom numbers on the page. Am I missing something? I’d hate to find out I’m looking at something that’s wrong

they add up they just do it weird so take your total fat grams per day multiply it by 9 then divide it by your total calories for the day and you will get that percentage number. do the same thing for carbs and proteins but multiply it by 4

if that's not what uou meant then idk all my numbers match up in all the locations but I know lots of people have wondered how they got those percentages I described before
11 sep. 23 por el miembro: ObeseToBeast123
OTB, so it's percentage of calories of carbs, fat and protein. Got it, thank you.

Correct 👍

You are much better at this than I am. I hate my scale, but I try to not call it names 🙂

Remember when using the FS database that many of the food items listed are OLD. As much as possible use current packaging because the formulation of so many food items have changed to meet current diet trends. Again, the data base is a guideline only. If you want accurate use USA database

Kenna Morton -- yes. I check packaging all the time. I use Lean Cuisine a lot for lunches on days when either I'm on the run for some reason or there aren't any appropriate leftovers in the fridge. Lean Cuisine reformulates and repackages the meals constantly. The same meal might be named 2-3 different ways in the database with varying calorie counts!
