Shir my hair got long long long when i quit working. It was always on the longer side but ive gotten cheap in terms of not wanting to spend over $100 to have it cut every 6-8 weeks. lol. I told my colorist that when she complained about how long it was. I said i couldnt afford her and a haircut so its once a year. She rolled her eyes at me. We have been friends for decades.

Yearofhealth, my hair was down way past my waist in the 60s, I could almost sit on it. I wanted hair like Cher's was in those days, but, unfortunately, my hair is baby fine so it wasn't ever going to happen.

Shir my hair was baby fine and super thick until menopause. Suddenly it has these weird kinks (like braids released) and is coarser. It’s about 3 inches from my belt line on my jeans so it’s gotten pretty long. What color was your hair when you were young? Mine was dark dark almost black (but brown) with glossy red highlights that i hated and now know were beautiful. I started going gray a little in my 40’s and told colorist to color it and she said we should highlight it. Within a year i was bleach blonde and have been blonde ever since but for once 10 years ago. Both my daughter and hubs like me better blonde but I’ve started going darker again. Lasts longer.
