Yes…I make my own cake !! It’s a tradition and the only time I make a cake. I do like to make things like banana bread or brownies once in awhile. 

Cake isn’t my daughter’s thing either. She loves what we call a brookie. The base is a brownie and you add and bake chocolate chip cookie dough on top, sort of semi swirl it together and bake. Delicious with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream. I don’t eat either with mine and it’s still delicious.

I’m not a cake fan either. I almost always choose cheesecake, but I’ve also had coconut cream pie.

By the way, I’m not being rude I just don’t say happy birthday until the day comes. It’s part of my culture. 😊 

Our family's fave cakes are: Black Forest, Carrot with cream cheese, German chocolate, Lemon Chiffon and Sticky Toffee pudding.  

Oreo pudding pie with Oreo cookie crust B) I had it for a birthday party one year because I don't like birthday cake either. ps. happy birthday 🎈 

Make what YOU like the most. Would you rather have strawberry shortcake? Blackberry cobbler? Hot Fudge Cake? Everyone will love it. 

Many good suggestions so thank you !!! Another week and a half until my actual birthday so still time to decide and shop for the ingredients.  

I'm gonna throw in a vote for pecan pie. Or lemon bars. Or lemon pie that's more akin to lemon bars instead of a meringue. Pie is just so much fun to make 😂
