Stormsgirl posted about making potato chips in the microwave so I gave it a try this morning ! One 7 oz Yukon gold potato made 25 chips about 160 calories. That’s about 100 less calories that are store bought for the same amount of chips. More in comments.

They go from slightly brown to really brown in seconds. After sliced soaked in vinegar a few minutes and then dried on paper towel. Half seasoned with s&p before going in the microwave, the other half seasoned with a dry dill dressing spice mix. Reminds me of chips you get in a deli. I will definitely make again and try different variations of using either vinegar or oil spritz and test different spices. Thank you !!

Good for you and Storms! Luckily, I'm not a big chip eater, but I think I'll even try this because being able to flavor however I want - sounds fun! Lately, I've been loving on everything bagel seasoning. It sounds like they could marry each other, possibly in Vegas!

They were really crunchy and crispy I was surprised myself. I think they got crispier the longer they were done cooking. I ate some, put the rest in a brown paper bag and just finished the rest. I think they were even crunchier. They were on parchment paper which I think helped. Really thin sliced and around 3:30 minutes you gotta keep your eyes on them so they don’t go from brown to burned.

@honeebuns…I just made some. They were DELICIOUS! The 1st batch I just used a little pink Himalayan salt. Next, I’ll add ranch powder. The vinegar idea sounds delicious!! I’m also proud I didn’t slice my finger! Lol The mandoline is a great tool! TYFS your chips! They look great! :) I agree that after 2 minutes, watch them carefully because they will get to the point where they quickly turn brown and over cook. When they just begin to turn brown, that’s when they are done. :) I also let mine cook a bit and they became more crunchy!
