My pants is falling off…. Shirt, is a little loose… one of the hardest, mentally, when it comes to cutting is when you lose glycogen and your muscles goes flat but the fatloss hasn’t caught up so it looks like you are losing muscles…. Rapidly… that along with feeling weaker than before could really fuck the mind. Stick to it, once the fatloss catches up and shows that definition, better days will be ahead ☝️

I find this whole bulk n cut thing a bit confusing...seems simple until I start to read about it and then I'm confused...#tooldtogetit?

Diana, I used to be slightly into fitness instead of just getting slim, so maybe I’ll explain a little: I don’t completely get it either, but what I do understand, is that going by body composition is even better than going by weight. Is going by body composition instead of weight, doable for everyone? No, but it’s good if you are physically able to. I used to do it…I have been in a slump, but shouldn’t be, because as you get older, emotions/willpower/burnout are no excuse, not even close to one, and their is no room for emotions or willpower to stop you from anything as you get older. I am learning that now.

It’s really all about energy. Surplus loads you up with energy vs a deficit you are running on low energy. So for the same effort you are able to progress much more with more energy than in w deficit. What feels like failure in a deficit is only low energy. Meaning the muscles could have done more with more energy. Ok a surplus you are actually able to fully exhaust the muscles and not from it running on empty. With that you will induce much more muscular adaptations, and the extra calories can be used to recover much better too. So overall you get more muscular stimulation and recovery on a bulk vs on a cut. But with the insurance of energy comes energy storage, cuz nothing is precise. By insuring you won’t by short on energy. There will be excess of energy aka fat. That’s basically why you grow faster in a bulk n cut vs trying to build on a deficit.

I feel the same. That's why I bumped my calories up a little. I need to find my maintenance and stay there for a little bit. Then slowly bulk again

Super, that’s the stage I’m in right now. It’s a tough one, cause you wanna see the results from your bulk, but aren’t there yet! Lol I know what you are feeling..! 😂 @diana, I wrote something about bulking and cutting on my journal, to add to supergainz answer. You asked me on my post as well, but just finally got some time to write about it. Hope it helps.
