I follow low carb (shoot for 20-30 net a day) and I combine it with calorie counting because I have learned over the years that the two combined reign supreme!

5'4.5" tall, 38 years old. Have hypothyroidism I take meds to treat..I wasn't aware I had it until around 30 and didn't take my meds consistently until 33 I think. I weighed 220 at 19 years old and had never seen anything under 200 since puberty. My heaviest I reached around 24 years old was 273lbs. My original bio stated I'd never seen "onederland" in my entire life that I could remember...but here I am :)

I tried just calorie counting at my heaviest and going to the gym but I stayed solidly the same weight for multiple months until I found low carb and it finally started coming off. I also did try to add in carbs after I got smaller and again, my weight stopped coming off and eventually started gaining. I have since returned to low carb and can not foresee ever leaving again...this works for me and something is just up with my body that makes it be the only thing that works (trust me I've tried!).

I never ever thought I'd see under 200 but I took it day-by-day and then one day I woke up and I was there!!! Still in shock.

I struggle with giving up alcohol - I have in the past for 1.5 years to help with weightloss and it was amazing for that and so many more reasons but now I'm attempting moderation...might have to give it up again

I went to Hawaii to celebrate my 35th birthday and being under 200lbs in October 2018.

My goal for 2019 is to reach GOAL! Which is insane to me....but...so was reaching under 200 right? So here goes nothing :)
