Totally exhausted today after all day theme park yesterday. The planning and preparation is the most stressful. PTL, I thought of everything, and we were totally prepared. The food was outrageously priced! My granddaughter got fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, a small slice of cheesecake and a fountain drink and it was $37!!! About a half cup of Dippin Dots was $5 each for the kids. I didn’t get to do the one thing by most wanted to do, which was get BBQ ribs at Trapper’s Smokehouse. That would have probably been around $40. Oh, and a soft German pretzel (which I shared with everyone) was $12! I drank water ALL DAY at the park, and survived knowing I had left a couple cans in a cooler in the car for the ride home.

Just a quick note. The kids had a great time and my 13-year old grand daughter was a real champ for going on all the rides with the 8-year-old grandson. Usually they fight, but they got along great today. Afterward, though, as soon as we got home, my grandson had a meltdown and told me he hates me. Some “reward” for spending 10 hours at an amusement park and letting them go on whatever they wanted, as many times as they wanted to. I’m afraid my calves are going to cramp in my sleep. Shoes didn’t start to bother me at all until the last half hour before we left, and it wasn’t too bad. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. It’s more than 4 hours past my bedtime and I’ve already taken my sleep meds. Gonna take a couple Flexeril and go to sleep!

Busch Gardens today. The only snacks you’re allowed to bring in are bottled water and “single serve” snacks (1-2 ounces each). You be got string cheese and protein bars that I can eat, and meat sticks and cheese sticks for the kids. Also letting everyone pick out two 1-oz bags of chips and a couple cookies (2 per package). For my whole life, I have snuck in food because it is SOO expensive at places like this! A bottle of water is $4.99 and a 20-oz bottle of Diet Coke is $5.99!!! Ridiculous, but the Lord had convicted me that I need to be honest and follow the rules to set that example for my grandchildren. I’m trying hard to be a Woman of Integrity, and abiding by those rules is really a challenge (and an expense!), but I’m going to do it. Wish me patience with my ADHD grandson today, and courage to ride the Loch Ness Monster that he wants to go on.

Well, I took a total DAY OFF today! Calories over 2,300 for the 2nd day in a row. NO WALKING today, after going 6 miles a day for 32 consecutive days. Having the toe surgery coming up on Friday, and knowing I am forbidden to walk for 2-3 weeks kinda messed with my head. I figured, “since my record is going to be broken in a few days anyway, what’s the use pushing myself?” Because of all the other stuff I have going on medically, which will prohibit me from walking, bending, jostling myself, and going in the sun or getting my foot or leg wet, I realized that the ONLY time I can take the kids to enjoy our Busch Gardens and Water Country USA tickets is THIS WEEK. Going to BG on Monday and WCUSA on Wednesday. I’m NOT ready for this so soon!
