I have a very precious NSV I want to share. But, I have to tell a story. In January I was driving my oldest son to school when I told him I was going to try very hard to lose weight and get fit. I said I would need the help of the whole family to stick to my plan. Suddenly, I had a thought! He pretty often picks up his older sisters, as younger brothers like to do when they are no longer the "little" brother. I asked him, "If I lose enough weight, would you take a picture with me of you picking me up?" Pleased with the plan, he immediately agreed! Over the months of me fighting to get rid of the extra pounds, he has been such a terrific encouragement. Today my lad is the weight I was when I started this journey... over 190. He is 6'2" and 16 years old. Granted, he is in incredible shape with lots of muscles from his very physical job! But hey, without the 40 pounds I've now lost, he can easily lift me!

Thank you all! Keyten, I have a marvelous kid! I just try to be a good mom! :) what the picture doesn't show is a daughter taking pictures and my husband recording the moment... Or rather several moments. I felt bad being so heavy! My son said I weigh less than the cement blocks he had to move around for work. :)
