Our youngest girl made this lovely meal for us last night. "jerk" shrimp she called it?? 😁 ❤️ So yummy!

Thank you! The very sweetest part is she made it after a 9 hour, extremely stressful work day and with a splitting headache. AND, she doesn't like shrimp! ❤️❤️❤️ She even fried the rice before cooking it so it had extra flavor. 😍 It was spicy and so flavourful! It meant so much to us!  

Waiting for Chris to come and ask what the shrimp did to be called names. He is pretty sporadic these days.  

I've been craving shrimp lately! Looks yummy 😋

So Chris like! 😁 Thank you for asking, mermee. She is a patient at university of washington headache clinic. The head neurologist is her specific doctor. She has tried so many medications and treatments. Her expectation that anything will work just fades and fades. They are talking botox, but she is so young. Because the headaches are the result of brain injury, they don't present or respond to treatment in the same way as "normal" migraines. We keep hoping for help. She had a ton of tests over the last weeks. We did learn that her fainting and dizziness has been blamed o. The injury and not some other cause like heart or inner ear issues. Supposedly there is some therapy she can try but results are very uncertain and it would be at least six months before we know if it would help. She is in pain every day and still Somedays can't function at all. But, she is so strong and fights so hard to do the very best she can. She has promised she won't try to work when she goes back to university in the fall. Her senior year... Finally! She does better when she isn't studying. Working at what she loves is easier. ❤️❤️❤️ I am glad you are getting some help. I hope with all my heart you find relief. I know the horrible pain it can be.  

I will tell my girl you guys like the look of this dish! She will be happy! 😁

Aww thanks, Becky! ❤️ It doesn't look as yummy as it tasted. The seasoning is almost black, so the shrimp looks a bit dark. She is always experimenting making different dishes. Mostly they are West African influenced. I know she got the paste at a little African grocery she frequents to get supplies for making things for and with her friends. 😁 I'm delighted we get to enjoy her creations! 

Melissa, with your daughter creating meals like this, it's like you're traveling without leaving home. 😊 

All these sweet things you say about your daughter... she seems kinda mean to me. I mean, what did those shrimp do to deserve being called... beh. Freaking DP writing my lines for me. I am impromptu and will not be scripted! 😡  

Yes, Becky! ❤️ She is always searching out new spices and new ways to bring to life simple ingredients! I love it so much. So much more interesting to me!  

Chris, no one could possibly put words in your mouth! We just know you too well! I freaking am always wondering when you will twist my words to mean some lunatic meaning! 😁
