We walked for miles and miles down the beach today! We also went to the home where my mom grew up and my grandparents still lived when we visited with my small children. The current owners invited me in! I got to see the tiny room where I slept as a girl!

Thank you all for enjoying with me my little bit history and the area I grew up loving. It was so special to be back in Lincoln city for even a short time. Probably my first real memories of anything in life are in this home. It was our families favorite destination even though we had to drive a very, very long way to get there sometimes. We honeymooned in that house! Grandma had a vacation at my parents' home while she generously gave her beach house to my new hubby and me for two weeks! My children sat in the living room hearing stories from their great grandmother about her life growing up in an orphanage. So many, many memories!
