Having a good mindset is such an important aspect of eating well for me. When I am anxious and stressed and frustrated, it is so hard to make good choices. A special time with my kids enjoying the creatures I love was just wonderful and relaxing!

For when anxious and stressed comes to visit, I go hit the freezer up for my premade safety comfort foods to help keep the crazy chip cravings at bay. ex: chicken soup, beef stew, etc. portioned out. Hope this helps :-)

Thank you,guys! Diana, it makes my day to get texts and videos and photos from "my" kid sharing his life with me. They have been together three years, and he is a permanent fixture in my heart! I have him, my five kids, my oldest’s boyfriend, two more girls living with me, my nephew who lived with us and often visits, and my German “daughters” who have been back and forth for years… It is a beautiful thing that love multiplies! Thank you, Bill and Princess! Yep, he is a lofty lad! But that little colt at 2.5 months old weighs around 250 already. All bone and lean muscle and sinue... Kind of like a long distance runner. 😊

Thank you, Kenna. Horses... Training, showing, being a riding... instructor was my life for so long. I rode into my 9th month with my first, 8th with my second, and broke a filly through my 5th month with my third pregnancy. She had been brought in from out of state and I was committed to training 4 times a week and getting her through her first few shows. Then I figured out I was expecting! I kept up with riding until the 5th joined our family and I was deep into homeschooling. Then... I just couldn't keep going. Maybe someday I'll be able to have this be more a part of my life, but I have come to terms knowing I've had and will continue to have a full life even without. Doesn't mean the stab of pain does not hit me from time to time. I imagine you know exactly what I mean.
