fast food can make you retain water.

You have not been eating carbs, so when you eat them you will gain a lot of water weight(Repeat with me: I did not gain 3 pounds of fat overnight. 😀), it can takes time to your body to adjust, you have two options;
1.) Trust the process and be patient.
2.)Go back to keto.
The choice is yours 😊

up/down = life :) I always totally understand when you 'take breaks' in your diet.

Just do the best you can under the circumstances. Like Adef said.

Keilin is right, it’s just water. You are going through a lot, so give yourself some grace, and just think, when you jump back on Keto, you’ll have that nice big water weight drop! ❤️

Keto is good. It is not a failure to go back to it (if you choose to). Great healthy diet.

Thanks guys. I know I’m being a bit whiny 🙃 I’ve been off keto for over a week and I knew that I’d gain a few pounds of water weight from eating so much carbs and I did but I want it to stop now 😅😅🤣 It wont though, unless I stop eating so much junk!

When I eat keto, I eat very healthy Whole Foods and I never feel hungry. The biggest reason I don’t want to be on keto is because it’s like a safety blanket. And I feel the need to learn to eat responsibly; to eat to live not live to eat. I don’t want sugar to have such a hold over me. It pisses me off 😑

It pisses me off too. I hate feeling like sugars bitch! 😂

And you will learn, don't feel bad, I still don't have 100% control of myself when I see my favorite food.

@CrashtestDawnie - It is *your* journal, you can be 'whiny' if you want too! :)

Well, you have already lost more than you have to, so you're still winning! That makes you a winner, not a whiner! 😉😀

Nothing wrong with discovering that what works best for your health and well-being, then by all means do it. Just remember that if you learned something, it isn't a failure.

It took me 2 almost 3 months to start losing again when I got off of it last July. I started carb cycling of sorts and still was lowish carbs must of the week..

Wow that is a long time to have to wait to see results CB1006! You have patients! If I were closer to my goal weight I’d deal with the wait but Now I’m trying to get to 140 by May! 😅 I think I might be able to pull that off I start losing again soon

3# in 5 days? That’s not a true weight gain. It’s water or you may need to sue the restroom 😉. If I were to guess I’d say it’s the fast foods, candy and carbs in general making you retain water. As Chris told me MANY times, drink all the water you can stand to flush it out. You’re doing very well in my eyes 😁
