Really in the big picture this week went really well. I lost weight overall. It was only 0.6 in the week but a loss.

Considering that I had the young men here again working on my barn and was cooking hearty meals for them I did well. Last time I got caught up in the eating. This time I carefully considered what was on my plate, ate it and stopped. Great strategy! I thought about what I had done the last time they were here, re-thought my options, and changed my response. Result? A modest loss.

Meanwhile the outside projects have really been moving along. I am fairly certain that I have personally filled and hauled around 20 pick up loads to the landfill- might be 25!. I think I have about 3 more left to do. Then there are literally four piles of old metal items in the yard. I also hauled each of those items out of the bush or out of old buildings! These will be going to the scrap yard. My daughter's man is arranging to bring out heavy equipment to put them onto trucks and haul it all away. He will also dig a large hole for my giant brush pile. When the fire bans are off it will be burnt. I really like poplar trees but they have a relatively short life span and die off as well they sucker like crazy and have to be cut back. Hence the huge brush pile!

Still a loss. You must be proud of all you've accomplished. It sounds like you had quite a big mess to contend with and you are taking care of it one load at a time. Also, congratulations on the young men working on your barn...I wish I had young men working on my barn! Lol

Thanks for your support! There was quite a mess. We have lived here over 35 years and my husband was a pack rat. There was everything he kept plus the things that were here when we bought the place. For example there were two furnaces that had been carted outside - one disassembled behind a building and the other one was disassembled in the barn. One was our furnace from way back and the other was here when we bought the place! I don't like things that are leaning against outside walls of buildings and I really don't see the point of keeping things that I will never use -- like ancient furnaces! It was kept relatively tidy however it looks much better just having much of it gone!
