I’m lucky in that I cannot tolerate that overfilled feeling so I eat a little of this and a little of that and then I’m full so I stop. I made a little bit of quite a few things so will continue to graze on leftovers today. . It helps to have started and ended the day with a hike. Not a weight loss thing, it is just what I do. It was a gorgeous, warm day so headed to the hills not far from my house. I have no family here so it is my BF and I and lots of friends. We are all on major lockdown because of our high death rate here in California. It went up drastically over Thanksgiving and will be even worse after Christmas. Hiking is as safe as we can get and so very helpful to mental health. One of my friends’s 36 year old son and his wife got Covid about 5 days ago. He is recovering ok but his wife, who had no comorbidities, died Yesterday. This is serious business to us.

And to answer another a question— yes they have 3 kids, they all tested positive. One is in the hospital and the other two are sick but at home with my friend and her husband..

Update:: the child in the hospital passed away this morning. 10 years old. Wear your mask, wash your hands and practice physical distancing. Do not get complacent.

Update— the youngest child has now been admitted to the hospital. My friend is caring for her son and other grandchild. She and her husband are devastated.. this is one Christmas that did not work out well.
