Busy Thursday! Off to drive a kid to a driver's ed drive then to work. My husband comes home today! Yay! He is my shopper and cooks a lot. Plus he gives the best hugs! I was very busy yesterday, did quite a bit of physical work, ate on target. I’m sticking with it again today. I have to! These are super fragrant roses! The bush isn’t huge, but it delivers! The blooms barely fade at all. They stay a fantastic lemon yellow even as they mature, which is quite special! Pictures are from yesterday. Have a lovely Thursday!

I know that feeling of waiting for hubby to come home. My Joe goes hunting every year and you'd think I would be happy to be alone for a bit (being retired we are together a lot) but I actually miss him so much! I'm happy that he is able to go and have bonding time with his brother and of course do something he enjoys but I get so excited on the day he returns! Hoping all is calming down at your house..💜💜💜💜💜

Thank you, NAVYWIFESKI! This bush is near a rhododendron, so its leaves make a good, green backdrop to yellow! The rhododendron hardly blooms, sadly, because I have to prune it harshly every other year so that it doesn't push into my roses. I've thought about doing the work to pull it out, but it has lovely evergreen leaves, so... 😂

Thanks, Erquiaga! I wish I wasn't having to lose again, but I'm. Thankful when I do what I know the scales is moving! I can't pick my favorite rose, but this is pretty special to me. I love, love the fragrance! Lattez, thank you! I have another yellow bush that's blooms are nearly a pale apricot colored in the spring, but in the warmer days of summer it is a true yellow that also doesn't fade. I find it so weird that the weather makes the richness of color change.

SLYONE, if you were nearby I'd love to putter in your garden and share what has worked for me. Honestly though, we live in a place that likes to grow stuff, so after learning to work with the climate and figuring out how to fight the many kinds of fungus that is so hapoy here, my flowers just grow! 😂 But thank you for your kid words!

Thanks all! And, sk, I have no idea what the name is. I got it from an old guy who used to sell at a farmer's market nearby. Actually, I bought all but three of my bushes from him over the years. He no longer comes. 😩 Yep, Maine coon, I do live just a bit north of Seattle. Great place to grow some things!
