Well, I'm really mad to have to post this! But it seems like these 9 pounds are accurate! I wanted to lose them before I had to post them...... but here we are two months past the holidays and still not back to my low of 207. I'm still counting and still fasting 16:8 or 18:6. That's a small victory, but I'm counting it!

increase your protein. (chobanu plain non fat greek yogurt has 22g protein per cup and carbs are not bad, you can sub yogurt for many other foods) Switch to as many fat free foods as possible. don't eat between 7pm to 7am. this is a 12 hr fast. avoid diet soda or limit your amount to one 12 oz can per day. don't make yourself miserable with your diet. treat yourself to something you love once a week. slow down or speed up your dieting to suit your lifestyle. don't make goals that are long term. I set mine at 5 lbs at a time. it's easier to reach and helps you feel better about your progress. be kind to yourself.

one more thing.... fiber. get more of it.

You don’t owe anyone an apology, even yourself. So you gained 9 pounds. That still leaves you as more successful than most will ever be at this. Give yourself a break and start over. If you are not ready now then don’t push yourself. Treading water until you are ready is not a bad way to go. Losing 160lbs and gaining 9 pounds is pretty good math. You obviously know what works. Keep your chin up and knock it out of the park when you are ready

Aw bummer. It’s not always a downward trend no matter how hard we try. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s time to shake up a routine maybe or find something new and healthy to get excited about. We’re here to cheer you on.

With me I have to be committed in my head and heart before I can lose weight. I have started over on so many Mondays, or 1st of the month or year. Sounds like you are really trying hard though.. Last year I tried low fat for a couple of months. Tried to stay around 20%or so from fat. Even gave up "good" fat. I lost about 10 pounds before it stopped working for me. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

I gained weight over the holidays this year and usually don't. It sucks.

@gramma bev: I will look into the fiber. It's not something I ever paid attention to. I don't eat anything before 2pm. I don't drink ANY soda or diet soda. Only drink water - minimum 150 ounces per day. A protein shake now and then. I do try to keep the protein over 80 grams per day. Thanks for the input.

Ihsurvivor85: thanks! I'm going to pay more attention to that as well!! 💪

@russellc64: I appreciate your input a great deal! I'm sad and mad at myself! But I'm NOT quitting! I'm just .... as you said..... "treading water"...... only today, it occurred to me to get back to eating the same things as I did before..... I have started fasting longer and I think it worked against me.... I fast all day, thinking "one meal a day"...(OMAD). But then I get home and wolf down as much as I can for the next hour or two..... then a snack later..... all bad habits. I need to do better..... Onward!

@Fritzy 22: yea, the mental thing is HARD! I started trying new stuff.... longer fasting periods, and I think it backfired..... (also, too MUCH SNACKING!!!) I am going to look into more fiber, more walking, and keep up on the protein..... (STOP on the SNACKING)

Paddle boarding is one of my dream goals! Working on this core so I can do it someday! I feel ya on the weather. Another 2 months of snow here so I’m plugging away at indoor exercise. 😩

@Morticia: I'm sorry you fell victim to the "nasty poundage"! But, I know you can handle yourself! Let's GOOO 💪 💯 🌎 🫶 ☘️

YES! Moko 13!!! It's really fun!! (But, do not get the idea that I can stand up on it yet) I still sit mostly and paddle. But working on the core and balance should help me get better. Every time I'm on it - I stand up. Sometimes it's only for a second, and sometimes it's a bit longer ..... 🤣🤣🤪
