just stable where I don't want to be, but not trying terribly hard at the moment. I'm so worn and distracted by other things.
On top of the troubles of a personal nature for kiddos in my huge family, which always gives me so much worry, the operations director (my boss's boss) arrived unexpectedly from the Midwest to find our flaws... I mean tell us how well we are doing. Yeah right. super stressful, but we made it through yesterday. She actually had many nice things to say about "my" store and said it was the best it has ever looked. It is my responsibility to create the atmosphere, so I am pleased I've pleased. Apparently, our profits are up 20 percent from this time last year, and we are in the top ten shops in the nation, so there better not be too many complaints.
Today one of my daughter and I wrap up the hand stitching/sewing class we have been teaching together for children at a public housing project. All the children are from families of refugees. I've known some of them for years but now they know me so much better. We have had good days and not so good days... I've had hugs but also got caught in the crossfire of a coolaid fight! 😳I'm so proud of each of them who have seen their projects through. 😁What a blessing it is to be part of their lives. I'll be back in the fall when the school tutoring sessions start up.
Off to work I must go.
