Nice to see the scale moving the direction that I really want. I have been doing all the right things and it is great to see the result. Patience is key - do the right things and the results will follow.

I did get a little steamed at work when management started targeting those of us who work out during the work day. I take no breaks, eat my lunch at my desk (while working), and so my use of the gym during my lunch hour (unpaid) should be own business. I am waiting to see if actions are actually taken to restrict the gym hours; if they do, then I will speak with HR. I realize that there may be some people who abuse the privilege of having an onsite gym, but I am not one of them. If one person has a problem, you address the individual problem and you don't punish everyone else.

Yeah, the world should work that way again. Stop everyone so you're not seen as picking on an individual. Bogus PC crap.

a way to approach a solution to this might be to remember that it is ALWAYS in the best interests of a company to have their employees healthy. This makes sense not only as "social policy" but financially as well. . Youi might be able to align a few managers with your position in this if you think of your need to work out in this way. Not "me -time" but time you put in to maintain yourself as a healthy and productive worker. Many companies put a lot of resources into things like helping their employees quit smoking, or to learn to eat healthfully etc. I bet you could work this out for yourself and the others who work with you, in a way that would clarify the best interests of all involved. You are on the right side of your company's bottom line when you look after your own health! good luck in this!

OH, and yo would think your work would like healthy employees because studies show less absenteeism and higher productivity from those who exercise.
