Diario de FullaBella, 02 may. 14

Friday May 2nd and it's one of those days when I do want to tell the people IRL my FS name so they can just come here and read what I think about them.. LOL... save me a lot of time explaining. But alas, I shall remain incognito for now. So:

Blondie: Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk.. I was right, you were wrong. When it comes to life you can have good, fast, or cheap. Pick two. You can't have all three. Mom's not lost her *shhh...stuff* yet... she just has a better way of going about it. So there. Saved you over $3k. You're welcome.

BCF: What I just said to her.. I say to you. Ranting and raving at the wrong person just adds unnecessary lines on a face that already looks like a Rand McNally Road Map. I prefer to handle things by dealing with decision makers. While I think it's interesting studies show people who complain live longer because they release their stress and aggression I feel it sets a pattern where fault finding is a way of life rather than a resolution. Saved you a bag of cash. You're welcome too.

Sigh .. there ya go. I had a most interesting recognition this morning ~ having not weighed in for probably about a month now ... I can't remember the last time my 'mood' of the day wasn't affected by the scale. Even when I stopped recording my food for about 9 months I'd still step on that scale at least weekly to 'see how I was doing'.

Then as I moved from the 'weight loss' phase into 'converting fat to muscle' part of life.. well... that scale was totally screwing with my sunny demeanor. I knew better. But that number.. that blessed #$%$#&$ number... gah.. maddening.

Anyway.. Friday. Going to fancy tea with Grace tomorrow and supposedly live theater being performed by a friend of Kaddy's on Sunday. My dance card is pretty full lately .. I like it. I binged at the Garden store yesterday ... so I'll be pot shopping tonight. You know.. the kind you ... meh, never mind. No way I'd do 'that other' pot... the last thing I need in maintenance is the munchies!

However, speaking of the munchies.. I did order the pizza ... am waiting on it now.. what Roseanne labeled 'the border to border' (canadian bacon and jalapeno's)

Next Friday I'm going to 'the ultimate vintage flea market' with Grace and Saturday is .. (sound the horns) my 50th something birthday and am taking Blondie up with me in a hot air balloon ride. Another thing for the bucket list.

That's all. So as as picture is worth a thousand words... here are a few to take us into the weekend.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me. Y'all take care now, ya hear?

Bella

Sounds like a fun weekend ahead - enjoy yourself and I hope you loved every bit of your yummy pizza! I'm going to get tucked into all of the group forum discussions when I have some time as my EWYL book still hasn't arrived yet. Josie :)

You've resisted so long, I think you deserve to have the pizza as a treat. It won't hurt much if it's a "now and again" thing and not an everyday thing. I do understand it's a slippery slope though. The balloon ride sounds like a BLAST! That's on my bucket list, too! Live it up, kiddo!

I knew it was only a matter of time til that dance card filled -- you are such a wonderful, fun, intelligent lady, Angel, of course, you are in high demand! And, a pot binge in your past… may the planting begin. Early happy birthday, my awesome friend! I'm so glad you're taking that balloon ride & can't wait to hear all about it. xoxox

You know, it's not often that I come edit or add comments to my own journal but something occurred to me this afternoon and I want to share it here while still on the same topic plus I have 5 mins to kill before closing the shop, LOL. Counting down the clock. ANYWAY ... I was reflecting on how last weekend when I had those couple of Margaritas in San Antonio I'd purchased a bag of pepperidge farm cookies and was walking along the sidewalk with them open offering them to strangers. Yes, there I was with a BAG of cookies in my hand. Not one. On a plate. Sitting staring at it. I was relaxed and ENJOYING food as PART of my life. NOW.. I get the whole EWYL thing I've been working on for over a year now but I recognized today that I'm still holding on a little too tight with food. While it isn't the be all and end all of life, isn't to be eating in place of feeling my thoughts and emotions, isn't a substitute for boredom or sadness... it IS, eating that is, a PART of life. It was FUN. Walking and handing out cookies (well, allowing them to reach into the bag). LIKE the pizza today ~ of which I had TWO slices and that was plenty. I have the boxes waiting for the gsons, also known as the human vacuum cleaners, to come scarf up the rest, well... it's a PART of life. I have been enjoying my meals but the relaxation w/the cookies made me realize just another little 'lightbulb' that I was still separating food instead of loving it all. Just wanted to share that. Thank you everyone for visiting and reading and supporting and ...whoops.. times up.. as they say on SNL ..that's the news and I am OUTTA here...

A quote from a cookbook, Christina's Tuscan table. The secret is to be a conscious taster rather than a mansion (a big eater) and to leave the table feeling satisfied and grateful for your life. The table is not just about food ....it's about fellowship.

So glad you enjoyed the pizza. And getting rid of the leftovers is great. Enjoy you tea date with your friend. I love high tea. But don't go often. What did people think if you handing out cookies? Did you get smiles or friwns as in crazy lady or isn't this nice?

I love the graphics. Sounds like you are going to have a great weekend. Reading your journal made me realize , that I am separating food instead of enjoying it. Thank you for waking me up. Today I have decided to enjoy food as part of life and not a detriment to life. Too many times I have been discouraged and wondered is it all worth it. No More, I will enjoy my life and be grateful for it. I know what good nutrition is so I will practice it more. Thank you again. Have a great weekend and many Blessings. LoreJae

Hey busy Bella enjoy yourself this weekend. And yes food is not the enemy it's our negative reaction to it and you did so great with the pizza. My next meal I will remember to enjoy each bite. Bye for now cookie lady! I can't wait to hear about tea time.

A little of both Isabel - some people took cookies, others politely declined. The tequila filter stopped me from looking back to see if they were making that twirly finger motion beside their head as they walked away. I will report this eve post pizza party that I can honestly say my body knows the difference in good nutritious food and not so nutritious food. Within 2 hours I was truly hungry. Weak and a little shaky. I had to run errands so I grabbed a bottle of water then another but still hungry. So I popped into a GNC and got a protein bar and it settled me down and brought me back... it was good ((and I just remembered I need to log that on my food diary LOL.. no idea WHAT it was...)) so good in fact that I didn't dare buy any to bring home. Point is ... pizza may taste good but for the 900 cals or so in those two slices... not worth it on a regular basis. Tuna & mayo lasts me much longer for half the calories & much fewer carbs. PLUS it also occurred to me that I basically paid $30 for two slices of pizza ((as I didn't DARE keep the rest of it here ... I know even the freezer isn't invincible to my midnight madness cravings)) so that's a little insane too. All that for the sake of having food brought to my door. A good reminder of a bad thing all around. I think I'll learn to make myself a pizza next time I'm craving whatever it was I was craving... surely it wasn't just the cheese :-)

Good stuff, Bella. I buy protein bars by the box, just to make sure I've got one handy at any time. Sometimes, I'll even have a protein bar before what I know is going to be a bad-choices type of meal!

Well, I admire your restraint Trekker. I used to buy them by the box but would literally sleep walk into the kitchen to get them and would fall asleep chewing them. I'm surprised I didn't choke.

Oops your comment reminded me I was going to get a couple protein bars to take on our adventure today. Didn't find them right away at the grocery store I was in, forgot them.
