Wow! Your arms look very defined ! You are doing great!!You have me beat on weights! I bench pressed the bar today. Did a lot of reps but everything felt heavy today. I usually curl 15 lb free weights and today I could only do 3 sets of 8. Unusual for me.

@Diana- do you alternate between less weights-more reps, and heavier weights less reps? Just curious as my trainer has us on a rotating 3 week schedule. I love the bar better than dumbbells but I think you can be stronger using the dumbbells becasue of controlling them. Plus with what your heart doctor said it would make sense to not use the bar. We ALWAYS have a spotter in the gym.

@Jen- We are on our knees and throw a 10# ball at the wall 6x and then go do either planks, side planks or suitcase carry. Repeat 3x and this is our warm up to lifting weights. Then after lifting weights we do 10 minutes of cardio by pulling a sled, ropes, kette bell or pushing a sled. I do this 3x a week but wall slams or every workout and you have to push with both arms and throw as hard as you can. You are about 3' from the wall.

Redporch, I do alternate. I find if I lift heavy every workout I start to feel very tired. I start week out at my heaviest as I take Sundays off so I'm fresh and ready to go on Monday. By Weds I drop my weight slightly. Usually with dumbbells I go down 2.5 lbs, machines I go down to next weight level, whatever that may be, if I use bar I go down 2.5 lbs as well. Then Thursday is training and my trainer starts me off lighter and adds weight with each set. Friday is a mostly cardio and core day. Body pump days are M,W, and Sat. In class Weds is my lightest day.

fantastic!! you look awesome!! your walk in closet is cool, i wouldn't be able to fill 1/3rd of that. lol
