Blood sugar 103 mg/dL

62 pushups 2019 PUSH UP Challenge (Overall leaderboard)

Yesterday I only drank protein shakes, went to the gym (did all my maximum lifts with my squats and deadlifts at 200 pounds), and ran 5 miles.

It is good to see my body responded with a good weight loss. I will need to remember this because I am about to start 3 days of eating that will probably add 3-8 pounds. I hope no more than that!

On January 2nd I plan to start a 3-4 week plan to lose 15 pounds (assuming I gain 8 pounds before then), and get back to my BMI weight (with no more holiday 'binges' setting me back).

Today I plan to go to the gym and run 5 miles.

@Draglist - What I have noticed recently is that when fasted my blood reading are higher in the morning than when I eat. However, each day they get lower. After 4 days of fasting I am usually down to the low 80s

Adef, are you insulin resistant or T2D? If so, you may be getting too much protein, esp. too much in a single meal, with your protein smoothies. Excess protein can be converted to glucose.

I just looked at the gym parking lot and it was full. I went for a walk in stead. Mid January it may clear out. Doubt any cardio machines would be available now. Hope your gym is better

Trying to get the motivation to get back to the gym despite chronic pain. I loved lifting!

@chrisw77, @gz9gjg - Not T2D but probably insulin resistant. When I get back on the high protein (off it for the next three days) I will probably keep it around 120g Any more than that and I'm taking in too many calories :(

@nikeit - Thanks! But, today I was Baaaad… :) Tomorrow wont be any better. This is my last 'hurrah' for the next 3- weeks...
