Day 2 of a planned 5 days of ‘no solid food’ fasting Blood sugar 105 mg/dL
The gain was expected. I manipulated my weight over the weekend by hitting the caffeine hard (and therefore getting a bit dehydrated) and exercising hard (at least the first day). This causes a big loss in ‘water weight’ because I am depleting my glycogen levels and the associated water (each gram of glycogen is bound to 3 or 4 grams of water).
However, when I am not combining that with low carbs and constant exercise (I have not had a run or been to the gym for 2 days), I-am-not burning fat. My only ‘real’ weight loss is when I reduce the fat in my body. Otherwise whatever ‘water weight’ I do lose will-be-back in a day (like yesterday and today).
I am glad to have 5 full days of ‘no solid food’ fasting. I haven’t had that in awhile. It is the ‘multiple days’, especially past day 3, that I am able to get actual ‘net weight losses’ where I reduce actual fat.
