Bill, I have a copy of the IF ebook if you want me to email it to you: I don't think coconut oil will pull you out of the fasted state. Depends on how much you eat of it. One tablespoon is about 100-120 calories. I think Mike says anything less than 100 is okay, as in not breaking your fast, like putting cream in your coffee. So one teaspoon of coconut oil in the morning wouldn't hurt anything and I find that it does help with the hungries if I have them. And it might help with the mental acuity. I wouldn't know about that really as I'm not that smart to begin with - lol.
