Oh yeah. Lots of insight into our junk food craving society right there!

it starts young....what would the "eat what you love" movement say?

Lol. At first I thought it was just the kit kat. One of my niece's had french fries at 4 weeks and both regularly have pizza at 5 months. Oy vey!

Okay - I think I will - yeah, this says a lot about why some of us eat 'everything' just to get to the dessert.

Gee! The things we do to eat our kids to eat!

That's awful!!!! Ingrained in him/her will be a distrust and him/her won't know why. It's not just about food. I find you have to be careful what you do, so many things in children are learnt on a subconscious level. At that age they can't reason it away, so they're left with imprints. I'm quite appalled! That technique is not thought through.

I agree, hence posting it. I can imagine as a parent feeling frustrated and resorting to whatever works but from a long time disordered eater.. .this is bad, bad bad.

Anyone notice the newest trend in baby food? It comes in a pouch and Mommy gives it to baby and baby sucks it out of the pouch. Mommy now has more time to text while "watching" baby eat. I loved feeding my son. Experimenting with new foods. What happened??? Not overly thrilled how they're going about it but the baby is getting something healthy, I think.

That baby looks a little young to know what a Kitkat is. She's young enough to eat baby food and can't use a spoon by herself, but she knows what a candy bar is? I don't remember giving my kids candy until they were eating the same food as me. But, that was funny to watch!

I don't like it one bit! I had such a good time making my son's baby food. He didn't seem to have a hard time eating any of it either. He also didn't have junk food or sugary drinks for years. Why would that child so young even know what that was?

Breast milk is a potent source of HGH and other potent hormones essential for a good start. Forget the pouch fed baby. You'd be shorting him. HGH = human growth hormone. It's basically the only source it's available. Just saying.

that's hilarious. Love it. Why on earth do packaged, processed foods grab our attention, even at that age?

I did post this on the forum to see what others said as well and I had to go back to add something myself. I was conflicted this morning when I saw it.. my first reaction was 'great... let's create disordered eating young in life by making the kid want the sugar/dessert more than their actual 'food'. But then thought about it thru the day. On the one hand.. how many babies have we fed making the propeller sound while saying 'open up the hanger.. here comes the plane' or 'choo choo'... I'm wondering if the kid actually recognizes candy or just 'look.. it's red.. something different. I know I didn't like that stuff on the spoon.. what's this brown shaped thing in their fingers? After all.. I eat with my fingers.. ' I guess it's like anything else.. we all watch the same video and attach different conclusions and our own emotions. I am curious as to how this would have turned out if the person feeding her has waved a carrot or celery.
