Day 2 of a planned 5 day fast Did well yesterday on the fast. Only drank protein powder, tea, and water. Ran 5 miles and lifted weights. I felt great all day, and I feel great this morning :) I also drank a LOT of water and took my Hi-Lyte electrolyte concentrate. Still, I gained a pound today :) I think my body is spending its energy 'rearranging' things, because even though I have lost 34 pounds since January, and I am almost 50 years old, my skin does not hang on me (except my belly, but it is the last place I have any noticeable fat on me). I am posting my latest picture because even though I am the same weight in the last two pictures, I feel my body is 'tighter'. Ironically I FEEL better when fasting. 'Emptiness' feels better than 'full' to me because 'emptiness' lasts as long as you want it to whereas 'full' will always go away and you have to 'reload' to bring it back, but, then I feel I am 'chasing fullness' like a drug. Have a great day today everyone!

@adef, you are doing a fantastic job! Interesting perspective on the empty/full situation. I agree, in that one seems to have more control when feeling empty. Have a wonderful day.🌞

Dang, at 50 you have more determination (and a nicer profile 😊) than men who are two decades your junior! Way to go!!!

Excellent progress, brother! How much more are you trying to lose? Also, what are your goals? May be time to get under the bar a few days a week and eat a little more...

@jimmiepop - My goal is to hit 168 (Normal BMI) just to see what it looks/feels like and then hit the weights and not ever get fat again :)

another example of it can be done.... and getting there is half the battle... staying there is the other half... Great results... and you are right, weights are the not so hidden secret... Many use aerobics to burn... but many don't realize that an hour 15 minute , high intensity iron party will not only burn 700 + calories.. but also..bulks up underlying muscles.. which fills in the skin slack from weight lost...

I don't know your age or your situations... but I do know your progress... and is amazing... However, don't settle for anything less than what is in your mind's eye.. Weight loss is a primary step... health is another.. getting ripped, age adjusted... is a crown jewel... and let nothing or no one take you from your mind's eye... This stuff is something that everyone on this site should do, exclusively for themselves... Not to empress, not to satisfy others, not to fit in.. The goal is to be happy with who you are... that is all...
