Day 2 of 3 days of planned eating I cannot believe I lost another pound. Now, I only took in 30 carbs, but lately I need to get my carbs <10 to get the scale moving. However, after an entire month of being at 180, yet having the mirror show massive fat loss, I believe that the losses lately are simply 'water weight finally going away'. The plan this weekend is to keep my carbs <20. I would like to not gain ANY weight over the weekend. The Monday-Friday fast restarts this Monday :) If I hit my goal weight it will be my last 5 day fast for awhile. I plan to switch to OMAD (One Meal A Day) and keep the carbs <20. Have a great day everyone!

Awesome!! That whoosh finally happened lol I hope you get to your goal next week! I enjoy the OMAD or the 2-3 hour eating window. It feels almost natural and it keeps me from eating like a bottomless pit :) oh and did your wife start Keto yesterday??

@mrsroboto - As always thank you for the support! It helps stay on track when you know people on FS are 'watching you' :) I have no explanation for this latest drop. Perhaps I was in a 2-3 drop mode that got cut down to 1 pound yesterday because I ate pizza? When I eat carbs my body always 'fills up with water weight'. Calories do not matter, it is always carbs=water. However, I simply have not had a chance to drink much water since the pizza last night. So, since I plan to do a 7 mile run today, I know I *will* drink a lot of water today, so, the scale should go up tomorrow by 1-2 pounds. Let's see what happens...

Wow - a 7 mile run is impressive!

@nikeit - Thanks! I actually do not think my run does anything for my weight loss, and since it will cause me to drink a LOT of water afterwards, I think it will cause a weight gain tomorrow. However, I NEED to run for 'mental meditation'. I put on the tunes (must have a carefully curated playlist!) and I just start REALLY slowly, barely a jog... and then I don't stop :)

@CrashtestDawnie - Thanks! Yes! Keto in this house starts today! I asked my wife what is for dinner tonight (beef patties with blue cheese crumbles and Zucchini with parmesan cheese) and put it in my calendar. She also made me an scrambled egg with beef and cheese that I can heat up for lunch (I obviously don't need to actually eat a lunch but this keeps me from going to McDonald's because she has to work today and I have the day to myself). If I stick to the plan today I will make my <20 carbs. However, I expect to gain 1-2 pounds because I will take in a LOT of water today after my run...

@baskington - Yes I am basically consuming a scoop a day of "Quest Vanilla Milkshake Protein Powder" (110 calories / 2 carbs a scoop). I do half a scoop in my coffee in the morning and on some nights a half a scoop with heavy cream and water as a vanilla shake (300 calories / 1.5 carbs). I am so glad that it apparently is not slowing my weight loss. In fact it *could* be a reason for the latest weight loss? I can't stop raving about how good this stuff is. Looking forward to taking it twice a day and lifting weights more once I hit my goal weight.

that is giving your body what it needs, I think that is helping but that is just my personal thought, you are living it and know better how you feel.

So you are not eating anything just protein shakes, how do you keep carbs so low?
21 jul. 18 por el miembro: foxxy51

@foxxy51 - The protein powder I use has only 2 carbs. You can click on my name and navigate to my daily diet calendar and see exactly what I eat each day :)
