OMAD (One Meal A Day)
Eating window 6:00pm-8:00pm

🥣 My 'experiment' of 'carbing up' for a weight lifting day by eating noodles (760 calories and 104 carbs) was a bust. It worked, I had so much energy I did my full hard workout then did a 'half workout' later that day. But, I use a LOT of soy sauce with my noodles and that likely caused the water retention that led to a 3 pound gain.

🏋🏾‍♂️ But, I did lift weights yesterday like my life depended on it 😊. I don't feel bad because I put-in-the-work. I was motivated because I knew I could not take in so many calories and carbs AND not justify the excess. I am either losing weight or 'bulking' to gain muscle (this requires working out hard lifting heavy weights). There is no 3rd option for me...

✈️ I go on a short vacation tomorrow morning. I am going with my sister who lost 50lbs on Keto so I have a travel partner who understands my weird eating habits (she is the person who will bring her own homemade salad dressing to a restaurant because she can't trust them not to have ingredients she can't track).

The key thing is that Wednesday is a weight lifting day for me and the hotel has a top notch gym. Tuesday and Thursday are my travel days and I will do OMAD on those days. Friday is a weight lifting day. I will be back home, and I plan to join a gym.

Safe travels. Sounds like you are finding your way. Look back at your journey. Less than 130 days back, the though of fasting was insane to you. You not only did it, you KILLED it. Proud of you. Now onto the bulk, cut, bulk, cut phase of your journey. Get it Ade!!!

Oh @ Princessvalerie you don't get to go!? @adefwebserver I never thought about bringing my own dressing to a restaurant, I usually just ask for mayo for my salad. That is a great idea.

@Mjgh06 Actually Adef's idea of his "vacation" is in reality a computer conference where he is speaking...so yeah I am all good staying behind on this one :)

@adef I hear you. Here's how I look at it. Just like it's my job to abstain from food on cut days, it is also my (equally important) job to eat for performance and recovery around my workouts. Different standards for different circumstances. Gaining a couple pounds and having a genius workout is 100% a win. I cannot eat for performance and not gain. It would be a "bust" (to me) if l had a shitty workout because I was underfed or if I gained 3# on a fast...
