Diario de FullaBella, 10 oct. 13

Mushy regained her tail wagging spirits yesterday evening and I slept like the dead. I don't really even remember if either of us made a potty run last night and that's very rare.

Not sure if it was the lack of sleep, off kilter emotions, hormones, or even the possibility that the body wants what the body wants but yesterday was 'CarbaPaLooza Day' here in Bellawood. It began with oatmeal for breakfast; toasted hot dog bun with mayo for brunch and grazing on homemade chicken and dumplings half a cup at a time the rest of the day. I probably got 10,000 steps in just wandering to the kitchen and back for refills.

This continued throughout the evening pausing only for a chocolate chip cookie binge in the afternoon. I am looking over my shoulder today for the Keebler Elves to extract their revenge for the 'cookie-cide' I committed when I realized I was on my fifth trip for 'okay, just one more'. Tossing the cookies into the sink and dissolving them with water before grinding them in the disposal may seem extreme but drastic measures were required.

Shortly before bedtime the dumplings finally lost their allure when a craving for pancakes turned my head. I debated whipping up a batch but compromised with a heated biscuit slathered in butter, peanut butter, strawberry jam and molasses. That did the trick.

So hopefully in the spirit of an indulgence day I shocked the heck out of my body with the unusually extreme carb and sugar intake and maybe get the scale to move south even a little bit. Today has been my usual tuna, pico, and sauerkraut for 'brunch' and I feel completely satisfied and satiated.

Another day, another chance to get it right.

Glad to hear Mushy is feeling better!! Sounds like you had a Carb revolt going!! I had that last week. I know you will be ok, and yes sometimes drastic measures are needed!! Besides, It had to be a little bit satisfying to shove those nasty little cookies down the disposal!!

Bella... if your carb happy day does result in a drop in the scale, please let me know. I'm going to try it. So happy mushy is fine. At times I wish my Chloe could talk, but at other times, glad she can't because she'd be a regular prima dona motormouth and wouldn't know when to shut up.

LOL you had a carb day for sure..some days we just have to have that starch in our system...Glad your back on track..and That Mushy is wagging that tail...:O)

I wish your day didn't sound absolutely delicious LOL...that is probably a reflection of my less than perfect thinking. Glad you are back on track.

Glad to hear your pup is feeling better and you got a good nights sleep. I always feel better if I get a good nights sleep. I have my share of "just one more" days so I know how that feels. Glad you were able to win over the cookies!

So glad Mushy is feeling better. Bella your journal has made me so hungry. lol I just want all of it..Especially those pancakes.. I slept all night last night too and that is unusual for me...very unusual and I hope it will be a trend for both of us. Happy Saturday!!

I've thrown whole bags of chips and cartons of ice cream out trying to purge my kitchen because I can't control myself. Sometimes that is the only thing to do. Glad to hear Mushy is ok and you got some sleep.
