Happy Friday!
Good morning everyone, how are you all, I'm taking things one day at a time, struggling trying to get back on track myself, after these holidays, I (we) will get there, this morning I'm having a cup of bullet proof coffee w/tbsp of flax seed.

Could you explain bulletproof coffee, how it is made, what are the benefits? Does it work is basically my question. :) I love coffee and if I could work coffee into a weight loss plan, it would be a win win!

There's absolutely no reason to abstain from coffee unless you have caffeine sensitivity or you don't like it...

Bulletproof coffee has been my key way to make sure I stay on straight and narrow. It integrates intermittent fasting with the keto principle of changing fuel source. As I'm not a 30-something (okay, not a 40-something either 😜), love the collagen products they have, too. Basically, you make your coffee (I don't stick to their brand as I have a great local roaster), add in grass fed butter (this does seem to make a difference for me, but second best is to make sure the butter is organic at minimum) and some of their MCT oil. I've tried other brands but didn't seem to work as well in terms of lifting the mental fog. I use stevia to sweeten then blend thoroughly. Sounds like it might be greasy with the butter but it whips up better than a latte in my opinion. Lots of info on their site - bulletproof.com - but hope this is enough to fill in some potholes for you.

Hi, Retta! I'm just getting back in the saddle again myself. I didn't find "Bulletproof Coffee" (with butter and MCT oil) to be very appetizing at all. Instead, I have a cup of "high-test" with 2T heavy (whipping) cream and stevia as my breakfast. It tastes wickedly wonderful! I agree that there is no reason to avoid coffee unless you have some kind of sensitivity.

For me, this coffee is the coolest, improved my sports activity and performance, but I never thought to add flax seeds. I think it's great I'll try it

I can't stand the taste of coffee, even going down the isle (to get my tea) with the smell gives me a migraine. The only time I ever had coffee was as a small kid. It was half coffee, half milk with a glazed donut. I haven't had that since I was ten!

What does the flax seed do to the texture of the coffee? i.e., does it dissolve?

@donbarger It help with my weight loss, and it's a meal replacement also, and it helps me to get my good fats in, what need to lose weight, google it, and it will tell you all the great benefits of it also, and I do mine with decaf coffee, and it's is very good.
