I love this - except for the part of me that is frustrated trying to remember the artist. Help a gal out? I think I've seen his work at the DMA. There's just something so cold & warm all about his topics - at the same time - it touches me.

Thanks, Bella! When it's about Flemish artists, you will almost always get it right by saying ”Brueghel”. They were a 5 generation dynasty of artists. In this case, Jan Brueghel the Younger. I have especially enjoyed the landscape paintings. Their colors and composition, the details... Well, I loved the flowers too, and the paintings that focus on plain people from the villages...

Thank you Eva. This one speaks to me because again, it's so cold and isolated. Yet, I sense if something happened the people would help. It's like, respecting one's personal space but assuring them 'you've got their back'. That's how it makes me feel anyway.
